We rejoice with every one of our brothers and sisters in Cuba that are working so hard to respond to every radio listener with a World Bible School, WBS, course and more.
Radio: Exciting Response in Cuba
It is great to read the many letters of our listeners. Some are corresponding directly with their WBS teachers in Cuba, which shows the deeper interest they have in ongoing Bible study.
Katiusha writes her WBS teacher Jose in Matanza, Cuba saying:
“I am writing to see if you got our 50 pesos we sent to encourage your ministry in spreading God’s word. Just let me know when you send me my second course."
In another letter Antonio writes, “God bless you. I am writing to inform you that I am interested in starting the correspondence course of World Bible School that you offer. I have already begun reading it since my brother has it and it has been a great blessing. I would also like to receive the Bible course so that I may grow and be prepared. I am sure that it will be a great blessing to me."
Letters from radio listeners come to the P. O. Box in Matanzas, Cuba every month requesting the free Bible courses that is offered. The requests have exploded as one person’s request then multiplies to many as family and friends learn about the course.
We are now planning this summer’s National Youth Conference, July 19-22 in Matanzas, Cuba. We request your prayers as our plans come together to bring the church's young people from across Cuba's 16 different provinces to experience a deeper knowledge of the Bible and to have great Christian fellowship with each other.
What can you help Cuba church with?
They requested:
1. Solar Powered Radios
Cost= $30.00
Acquiring radios and the batteries to keep them running is always a challenge in Cuba. Now, you can help supply a special solar powered radio for just $30.00. or 10 radios for $300.00.
The first 10 will be given to Christians that open their homes every weekend to friends and neighbors to tune in. The ImpaX is more than a solar powered radio. It will have a Spanish audio Bible and up to 500 hours of audio files that will include our first 100 radio hours of La Voz Alegre, The Happy Voice.
2. Scrubs for Cuba
Cost= $25.00
Dark colored scrubs embroidered with "La Iglesia de Cristo" are very appreciated for baptisms.
3.Sewing machines
Cost= $250.00Clothe and empower the community by donating to assist this Cuban Women for Christ Outreach
