Teens in Cuba Need Your Help Now!
July 2014's National Youth Conference is short on funds.
We need your help to make this happen, cost $100.00
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Young people from the 16 provinces want to travel across
Cuba by bus, flatbed trucks, and anything that has 2 wheels or more to attend
this conference. This is the only time in the year that many of these teens ever
get to meet other Christian teens that live in Cuba. With special permission from the Cuban government,
they are allowed to travel out of their own province to attend this conference.
This Cuban Youth Conference will be held from July 21-24.
The cost to sponsor one young person’s attendance is $100.00. This will cover their transportation, housing, food, and some of the cost of the venue in
Matanzas. At this time we are still in need of the funding for 50 more young people to
attend. This will reach our goal of bringing 250 young people to the
conference. A team of mostly
Spanish-speaking teachers from Florida, California,
Tennessee, and Texas are preparing to bring great Christ-centered Bible lessons,
singing, and Christian influence into the lives of the young people that will
attend.
You or your congregation can make a real difference in the
lives of these young people who have lived under communism their whole
lives. When you look into the eyes of the Cuban youth that are without Christ there is
emptiness due to their lack of hope. But,
those who have hope in Jesus are animated about their faith and show real hope in their everyday lives, in spite of
their difficult circumstances. We
want to give that hope to as many young people as we can.
All donated funds will go to the Youth Conference.
